Oh no no, not the Greatest entry of them all..But is the greatest cos if filled with so much so much Bubbles of 'Love'!!Love i received from my loving family,helpful colleagues,awesome N282, thoughtful friends.Love that i've received when i learnt to give, & showing the meaning of appreciation. Yeah i've found the meaning of a true Love,it comes when i've a constant r'ship with God, then He shows me that as i seek Him 1st the kingdom of God & His righteousness, and all these shall be added onto me(Matt 6:33).
Sometimes journey maybe long,tiring or even boring! But fear not cos of His amazing Love, all those fear had been cast out!!(1john4:18)
If i cld speak all languages of Earth & of angels,but didn't love others,i would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal(1cor 13:1-2,NLT) and if i had such faith that i cld move moutains, but didn't love others, i would be nothing, If i gave everything i ve to the poor & even sacrificed my body, i cld boast abt it, but if i didn't love others, i would ve gained nothing........
As simple as that,i believe my definition of His Love, it does not de-valuate but it upholds,
Hmm i think is like- "For i know the thoughts that i think towards u,says the Lord, thoughts of peace & not of evil, to give u a future and a hope"(Jer29:11)

So even if i've full faith,loads of hope,it may mean nothing...coz i need plenty of His grace to help me love people!^.~

Wow,this blogspot been with me since my poly years,next yr will b heading to Nus to get my Honours.Hence,due to the hectic work sceldule, i've seldom update too! Haha, but all i've blogged was really memories,of my walk with God, and the thoughts of the day.So yea,still in the consideration of closing it..Should i?:)

Past March I've been celebrating birthdays & birthdays...when i was younger, i use to think how come so "mafan," Everyone's birthday also got to celebrate, some people i knew don't even celebrate at all lo...haha!
Then i come to know, that everyone hold a special meaning to God, therefore He created us!Like Jesus, the Saviour of the world, not only his death date (Good Friday) was celebrated, but His birthdate was widely celebrated too, tt's how we got our Christmas!! Yeah my favourite occasion of the year other than my birthday..=)

I do believe whenever we are invited to a birthday event,it is always an honor,and a joy to give & blessed others!
Firstly,coming to the gifts part.. I feel it is impt to discern what is the person's need,& something tt's really helpful!

Secondly, a more challenging one...budget wise, i ever went shopping with my member Hock soon, he has no budget on the gifts he is getting for his niece, just as what my cgl,cindy shared, he has impacted us in a way that the gift for her had no budget, it is because of the love he had for her..the amount doesn't matter!

Such as when Jesus choose to die for us, does He had any budget?
I doubt so....His love for us had been so great for us that He's willing to die for us sacrificially which requires no budget!
Instead of blaming, cursing the sinners, Jesus told God to forgive them (us sinners)for they do not know.But only upon one condition..whoever call upon the Lord your God shall be saved...as simple as that...and so on..ok i am going deeper that's another topic!=)

Lastly a gifts holds an impt value, i am someone tt's training myself to have greater financial discipline, inorder to sow more into His kingdom, and saved up for future, use such as further studies. However, it is always better to give than to receive, if someone has my gifts, it is someone that is appreciated & he/she means a lot to me..no matter how busy, i'll take the time, effort & of course finances, be it big or little thoughts to bless the person.

The most impt things in my life...my family, my friends,my loved ones, ministry you are impt to me yet i think solitude makes me soar up higher.I am truly nothing without You, He makes me love greatly, focus better, served a greater purpose...What can i do to make a difference? i am an ordinary girl, yet the extraordinary Him that's inside of me do a greater works in me.

Discouraged when i didn't obtain the expectation in the areas of my career, my ministry, i was talking to Him..& He came in, He gave a big smile:"my daughter,well done,good & faithful servant!"
flash of vision & dreams skidded through my realms of thoughts.....

I opened up my eyes, He's nowhere to be seen, or should i rephrase He's now here! Yes, the reality that i am about to enter,will be what it was seen in the moments of stillness..

Weariness, setbacks in the reality....many are to come, but after all these, I will see a glorious light, more beautiful than the rise of sunset.I'll give my smile!=D

That's how it will be when you see me..I'll bring you the joy,the love & the hope He has given, even when the going gets tough, the tough kept going!

Ok finally, i find the motivation to write inspirational blog to stir up one another!
Alr is another one year...& times fly...recently family's been expanded... Yeah is a joy!
(If u know what i mean);D
Prob some close friends been wondering abt my staying with aunt..ok I was born into a family of 5, I had another extended family(My father's side), my aunt & uncle who see me as their own daughter,I have been staying with them eversince I was young, cos my mum was having post natal blue,her health was not strong enough to look after me.
Staying with my aunt & uncle, inclusive of my 4 other cousins...they treated me like their sister.. I felt pampered! Yet my uncle, whom i regarded as my 2nd father... brought up his kids with strict discipline,so am I. Despite what's our age, in his eyes we are always his sons & daughters.
At times the strictness of my uncle may lead to inward rebellion,as my old uncle & auntie might not receive much education..yet they always want to give the best to me. At times, although thoughts of unfairness may arise,eg:"I am alr old enough le,how come i still have to follow this & that, following so much rules..."
I have to say is not easy...but in each and every way God is moulding me to a path of filial piety.
Yi Lun ever told me in the 1st commandments You shall have no other God before me
5th commandments Honor your father & mother. Therefore other than 1st fruit to God, 2nd blessing is of course for our parents who raised us up right?=)
Now i am so blessed with 2 house & 2 family, of course i'll am still very close with my biological family. Two great brothers Jackson & Matthew, still in the midst of praying for my father as well as my 2nd father(my uncle).
Thank you Abba for showing the love through my earthly fathers..=)

Presenting to YOU the impact of KL Emerge experience (part 2)

I am continually blessd by the people in KL, Pastor Kevin, church members from ministry... I have to say their church have the DNA of our Church in S'pore, growing from glory to glory each time we went.

I was impacted most in the last svc,when Pst Kong used Pst Kevin, in whom displayed the qualities of the sonship. Pst Kong said whatever he has, Pst Kevin will tend to follow after him, eg: a watch he wore,Pst Kevin will wear a similar design,even as our church started the Emerge,he followed...Your church is my church, your friends are my friends, your people are my people....

Your vision,my vision.

I guess most of the S'pore team are truly blown away by Pastor Kong's heartfelt preaching, not just that, but the presence which was immensely stronger than the all other sevices..

Upon our realisation, we discover even their people are so imperfect, they are still part of us, we were brought closer to the word "acceptance!" Though most of the time we tend to be judgemental,in the imperfect pple, imperfect customer service, in the environment.. but we do need to admit that we ourselves are not so perfect too..

And of course we enjoyed ourselves in every events "The Beauty Pageant", "the Greatest loser", exciting performance by Shawn Lee,the no 9th Beatboxer champion in the world, Special performance by celebrity & my Fav POS(Parade of School), a cheerleading performance!

I am all excited about school revival, or workplace revival, & also family salvation! I really do hope in the upcoming years, our church will cont to organise an Emerge, a time where creativity & talents are released!=)

My KL Emerge experience Part 1

Hmm sometimes in life i felt i have outgrown myself of youth events, I attended the 2008 Emerge in Kuala Lumpur, maybe nah just once is enough!
Prob just staying at home shower attention to my love ones will be more than enough, going through the mediocre of life seems fine with me...
However God works in a different way,in the Spirit,its seemingly telling me "You shall not missed it, I have a greater impartations for you." So I prayed & fasted.
All along, I have a vision of being a missionary,travelling around the world to spread the gospel, i know coming to the realistic view of S'pore it seems impossible, the finances to sustain, how?

But my God is a great God... he took my imagination to a greater heights,"Eyes has not seen,nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man.The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."<1cor2:9> He challenged my faith & opened my eyes to a greater perspectives......wow! I can't even hold my breath..

At the beginning of our KL Trip other than our self-indulgence of the beautiful shopping areas, awesome food, i kept on reminding myself not to overly spend my hard-earned money, missionary but not mission spender! His blessing to me is to do great works, to be a blessing to others.
Subsequently we have to be real focus, Impartations next come Application, we have to apply our skills & talents, what we have learnt to serve His people. One thing I learnt "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."(MATT6:33) Ultimately He added closer r'ship with my family,bonds of trust, love & appreciation. Breakthrough in workplace, i have to admit that i have very nice colleagues, understanding superiors, not everyone is perfect but i found friends who are willing to listen, believe in what you are, encouraging you to work harder, challenge yourself for a greater excellence. Be more sensitive to ur patients, who say elderly doesn't have feelings? Anyway that's another blog updates..:)

During the Emerge,our team we served & we served,I became tired, dropdead, missing my home, He dropped me an encouragement, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness"<2cor12:9> Yi lun ever taught me is easy to praise when we are doing well, but is a scacrifice of praise when we praised Him at our lowest period! I praised, & sang tgr with good pal Xin Yi. And I felt we were being launched up like a cannon ball!! Whee!!

Sri Lanka day(the end of blog)

Going for this mission trip is indeed life changing,my skills are put to use & walking closer to His calling for me. Sometimes at work or in life when I felt discourage,i'll think back of the Sri lanka kids,they have nothing yet we have everything but not satisfied....they are truly my motivator!
I make great friends from the team of 10 pple during the trip.

I went to the trip with Pst Gideon(from Tamil svc),He's totally so funny! Haha, as He was helping to translate the diagnosis of of the Tamil's pple,eg: 1 patient has an ulcer in the mouth, from Tamil to English lang...He had a fruit growth in the mouth! The other example,i think the patient had a heartburn,complaining of stomac burning...it was translated to I got stomach fire!!
It was totally hilarious!! And he shared with us stories of how he first met his wife...inspiring really & romantic of course!;) Will share with u the full details if u'r interested to know..

Then our team was leaded by David ECD,though i was wishing very much that Pst Kenneth would come along too! Though he maybe someone tt's very D,yet without him,we might not be able to complete the journey on time.Really thankful to him:)

Along the mission team,we have 2 Doctors, Dr Jin Kiat & Tiffany tang, the best doctors i ever wored with,they are so funny! Not those kind with full of attitude u experience in hospital,but the ones serving with passion & love.I was so inspired by them, & it happens that both of them have got the same birthdates....but don't be mistaken they are not couples,just coincidentally.. haha!

Working along with me is Nurse Peck! She's totally work orientated when it comes to work, really a good nurse,ang given me great advises for my future, emphasise the importance of me to go for further studies,yea I'll want to study the best I can,be as influential as I can for Lord Jesus Christ.

And also Jin shui,we kept on calling him kim jui...oops! He's been so helpful throughout the trip, esp on the fourth day of the trip when we had been so busy with the administering & explanation of the medications,he helped us so much with the packaging,which saved us a lot of trouble.

Last but not least,we had got the youngest team members,age 17 only, they are David gan & Isabelle yeo, they were helping out with the children,thinking up of creative games to entertain them,it was such a great fun,i tell u.If i wasn't busy dispensing the meds,i would have been joining them, they are really hyper & full of excitement. Is really through God's grace that despite the communication barrier,the children throughly enjoyed themselves,loving every sweets & gifts presented to them!:D

Usually at day 2 & 4,we gather in a room,to discuss what things had impacted us & what are the things we can do to improve our flow of work.Also I shared that the reason I want to go through this mission trip,is truly because of this vision God had given to our Church & me..
(Matt28:19) Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit)

Sri Lanka,my day 2 experience.......=D

After serving all the medications on the 1st day of our clincs work, we were still lack of meds.So on the 2nd day after our Yummy breakfast, we headed on to the Pharmacy.U can see on the description from the guy's expression! Though it was just simple bread, butter, jam & egg...It tasted like heaven...kk, i admit we were hungry,haha! Despite all the flies(but we manage to shove em away), esp the scramble eggs with bread,the taste combination goes well. And their tea blended well, though it tend to be sweeter.

Hence we proceeded to our next destination,the village to ve our clinics set up, upon our arrival, the villagers gladly served us tea & biscuits while we make some preparation.

The turnout suprisingly were not alot, only ard 20 pple came overall. But we managed to enjoy the scenery,& chatted with some of the villagers. Also Nurse Peck manage to treat one man with the case of fracture of the finger, improvising with an ice-cream stick to help with the bones alignment! Which i thought that's rather creative of her!=D

Sri Lanka Day 1

Oops I have been rather slow in updating The day 1 event..Hmm I have to say day 1 after we departed from the Airport at Colombia,we were warmly greeted by our host, Suraiban(I hope tis is the right spelling),Pastor's son.
And so on we had a rocky 8hours journey, but but we manage to stop by a nice cosy restaurant for a nice supper...Hmm the food is quiite nice,portion is big, but thank God I manage to share my pasta with Isabel.However my advice is please dun ever order the cheese cake if u ever go Sri Lanka, will not emphasise here but still S'pore one is nicer!!After the supper we headed to Vavuniya,the place that we got to stay over in.
Upon arrival to our hotel, before we gt to rest, we have to buy medications for e pple,then head on to our next journey to set up our clinics.
Clinics consisted of 3 stations, 1st the triage,whereby pple come to tell about their problems, taking their pulse & blood pressure.
2nd the doctor station to tell them their diagnosis,& prescribed them the medications.
3rd station is my station,the nurses(me) served & explained to them the types of medications,plus when to take it.Btw in case of any communication barrier, we actually got a translator to help us translate our explanation.
At the end of the day,transition is so fast,after seeing all the patients, they immediately changed the place to a time of prayer meeting! And the most miraculous thing is we saw pple that is healed during the prayer meeting!Even the doctors are amazed,physical healing is only what the doctors & nurses can do but only God can do the Spiritual complete healing!! Wow!!!

7/9/09 On the way to airport, towards my flight to Sri Lanka. Like anyone that has a common thoughts of fear...oh mine what had I gotten myself onto? Can I retreat, most of the pple were not able to send me off..awww.
But i come to a point that since i made a decision,i will stick close to it! Is not by any chance tha Pst Kenneth had approach me for the mission trip with approval from Lun, & I believe it'll be a life changing one!
To my plesant surprise, not only just my faithful friend Shi min came, my favorite cg N282,NOTIFIED last minute,all came. My heart instantly melted,who are those closer tham my family mbrs?
Tears could have well down my eyes, i am full of thanks,who am i that deserve such whole loads of love?
The wk b4,receive one whole loads of stress & discipline,yea but i shall arise stronger in the midst!
My team were of course amazed by my big group of supporters,i am the most blessed afterall.Once again thanks for all the well wishes, N282, & my cgl Zhen!

Women of this generation

...Being a lady is seemingly hard hard hard, even after so much association with so much woman in life, my mum,cousins,my female nurses, my female leaders & friends! Female!!! Haha,in the past I was someone quite tom-boyish,growing up with my brothers, associating with all my guy friends...I don't mind if pple treat me as their brother!
Shirt & pants my kind of dressing,ya kinda nerdy in the past too!lol
Being touchy eg:like hugs,observing others being intimate seem to make my hair stand on ends.

But her affection touches me, her voice brings grace, her works for charity inspired me.
She's our Church beloved Ho Yeow Sun,Pastor's wife!:)
During my secondary school days, before I receive Christ. I was with my class doin a survey along Orchard road, on the LCD screen played a MV by Sun,"Wo men de dong tian."
Her voice was drawing.

Few months down the road I came to Christ before I knew it, Sun is actually my church's pastor too!
I was in WYZ zone then, subsequently multiplied to Yi Lun's zone. As Yi Lun was giving me BS, she shared with me ,if we were to cut open Sun's heart, we'll see China. Sun had always carried a heart for China, building homes, schools & making donation to the people in China!
Wow China,it was her action that really inspired me to reach out to the Chinese nurses during my sch days. I carried the burden for China,preaching to them abt Christ.
Now I pray even as a nurse I can do the little things, to meet the needs, heal the hurts,reaching out to China in future.

I am still in the midst of learning,looking up to the powerful woman of this generation!
Sun, Lun, Zhen, Yun:)
I ve great dreams of being a woman preacher, sharing my life experiences, empowering others with skills to enhance their rate of employment!

Of course in His light, i changed,simply dressed up a little more, smile a little more,Powerful woman also need to be lady-like.Shall be more feminine on the outside,loving in the inside.
Because afterall,beauty is in His creation=D

A Better Missy Wannabe

Feelings are subjective, emotional well-being is a decision. Greater things are yet to be done!=D
Sometimes trying hard to focus, not to be distracted with the things around. Even when problems arises, i want to face it, don't want to escape.I ve been tactful with my sharing,staying accountable in all ways to my leaders.
Many things in life,I think is impt to let go & let God, and faith is in the middle!
I need to know the first purpose God has called me to, be a great nurse & impact the community.Learning is always a continuous process.
I am learning to be a woman of stronghold,my patients always deserved my best care. So that ever someday if i were to start a family, i'll learnt how to manage it.
He wants me to focus. What about my own needs in life? He told me to seek first the kingdom of God, then all the desire of my heart shall then be added to me!
What a nice revelation;D
I shall set forth in a more in drawing closer to the experience dr, nah not tt i m interested but to suck their knowledge..haha!
Focus brings power.
In all my ways,effective communication is important in life.Personal to general, communication shall always be specifically articulated.
Hmm I somehow miss communicating in usher Hotel 3, but yet i am thankful that it builds me up!:)
My committment indeed makes me what I am in life.
Yet my leader said one thing that i feel is very true. Don't just be so effectively serving in church & yet in the market place we are nothing.Students to score well, study hard & study smart in school, don't ever let your parents think that spending too much time in church pull down your grades. Working adults, may u continue to work effectively in all places, & prosper as your soul prosper. God can use all of of us mightily in a different ways.
Also don't be everything we are in the marketplace & yet not contributing our talents n creativity in church. All of us are in a body of Christ,at least try to play a part!:)

I am telling myself:"I want to be a better nurse, a better woman, a better leader!"

Making a difference in the lives of others :)

One wk ago as I was making round with the Doctors, then one of this palliative dr spoke to one of my patients. This patient of mine had a deteroriating condition,treatment for him was somehow ineffective, thus the dr was explaining to him the areas they could made to improve his conditions . As the doctor was explaining, the patient was asked to express how he feel, and tears began to streaked down his face
Nurses are somehow advice not to put too much emotions or get too close to patients, as in case depression may set in if anything were to happen to the patient...such as a sudden death.
But I somehow felt for this patient, and my eyes started to brim with tears, I had to remind myself I am still working, crying tgr wif the patient seem so unprofesssional man.And worst still if it were to bring the atmosphere more down.. haha.

To protect the confidentiality of the patients I won't be describing more, anyway the main thing I feel is like what pastor mentioned...pple need the Lord...(Rom6:23)For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
As mentioned by Zhenn, don't just focus on the 5 when the 1000 pple around us haven't been saved.
(John10:10)The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and they may have it more abundantly.
As the saying goes pple don't care how much you know until how they know how much you care..

Dear God I pray, for a greater patience, love and compassion, even my flesh may fail me but You can love through me, stretcccched me to a greater capacity.
(1Tim6:11-12) pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Sometimes we go into a stage of self-pitiness, looking at the inadequacy we have in life, but after experiencing life & death, i feel as compared to the very sick, majority of us have been so fortunate. Is now that we stop looking to have our needs being met, start meeting the needs of those that needed more than we do:)

Everyone of us can make a difference in someone's else lives today!=D

Time to update my blog le! Sometime I was wondering how come i got to work so hard everyday, hmm more than anyone else I do wish i can stay at home and rest..haha. But I think working hard is one of God's plan for all the human race, that's why you can always see all the hustle & bustle during peak hours at Raffles place.
God made Adam to work, to develop his cognitive & psychomotor skills! We are made in the image of God, He gave us the talents & creativity to use for His purpose. So therefore our workmanship must also reflect Him!
The main thing is how are we able to produce an excellent workmanship if we do not have an excellent Spirit?
One thing I learnt is to constantly to have an Excellent Spirit,is definitely not going to be easy.Prob effort hasn't been seen,so we tend to slack a little?
Discouragement that set in to tell us that we don't have to put as much effort?
But I think ultimately our purpose is to serve & shine for Him!:)Everything we do is really base on our integrity ba!

Hmm i guess this few wks had been quite a tough wk,went through a lot of ups & downs, sometime felt inadequate,powerless...but when I am weak,He's strong!
Probably is through this trial that i maybe a greater blessing to the people around! One great way to stop yourself from being so called 'emo',is truly by accounting or sharing with your leader, mentor or your close friends,release your hurts & burden rather than supressing all emotions...not very healthy wo.
Of course God won't let what you have gone through be put it to waste, I have this powerful revelation, But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection,lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified(1Cor9:27)!
Ppl out there,you must know that you are not alone, even sometime we might think no one can understand our situation, but God knows, he knows of every strand of hair that's on us, he knows our thought & emotion.
Joyce Meyer ever once mentioned:"God is not impressed with what we say we will do;He is impressed with what we prove we will do under pressure."

Also 1Cor:27 is not jus a verse,the Bible is not just verses,it is verses that come to live only until we really have experience through the meaning of the verses.

This Sat is the last weekend,2 of my precious darling,Kai ling & Li zhi will be in jw, leaving over to expo le..their I C here is like so sad lor...haha! Anyway my team in usher had really been a tremendous blessing to me. I believe everyone has different leadership style, but i would always desire to be a leader that maximse the potential of her followers, equipping & empowering them!

I have this values of serving,it is to serve out of LOVE, to serve because we love God, to serve because we love people!!I am not someone so great, but where i am today is definitely of those leaders and ppl who have always believed in me!!

Right here i am thankful to Yi lun, Zhen Ying, Wan yun & there are a lot more though..but these ppl are truly my inspiration, giving me great guidance,always loving and keeping all of us in prayers!

I myself am really happy,even as i see the ppl around me growing,stepping out of faith, but i am sure we are not going to stop here...we want to be continuously used by God in a mighty way!! Even the youths shall faint,but those who wait upon You,they will mount up with wings like eagle, they shall run and not be weary,walk and not faint!(Is40:31)

Last but not least, I am very thankful to awesome G12S2A that has made a difference in my life, really love you all loads!!=D

There's still more to blog about though....i just happen to stumble over this awesome video,i was like wow!Is so totally like the society we are living in today leh...Our society hasn't been a perfect one. We met disaster like Tsunami, faces a great recession period, health is at a risk of H1N1 influenza...

Had all the threats causes the fear in the hearts of the ppl? Hectic rush for the flu jab,snatching up of all the masks-surgical, N95, Drager, etc. Increased precautions over all public areas.I recently attended one of my hospital Townhall talk, the unfortunate thing is our neighbouring country, M'sia has one of confirm case of H1N1 influenza so is majority of the Asia country. Therefore there might be a high possibility that S'pore will be affected.

However in the back of my mind, God showed me this verse,"No weapon formed against you shall prosper."(Isa54:17)

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God,which surpasses all understanding,will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Phil4:6-7)

Rather than saying that I want to have faith that S'pore will not be an affected country,I would feel is better to say to pray for the health of the ppl around, the health of the nations. It is always an utmost importance to be responsible for your own health,eg:cover a mask when you are sick,wash your hands before & after meal, do a daily check of your temp if you have been travelling to one of the influenza affected country.This doesn't just protect others but to protect ourselves too!

I am sure that as all the S'poreans do their best in taking care of their health, God will do the rest in blessing our country:)

Been spending some quiet time of my own yest night,the amazing thing was the presence was really strong. Prayer is an ART that need constant practice, been a Christian like 4-5 yrs, i m still mastering it. Just feel a burden for my team lately, ppl somehow can get lost focus, therefore we constantly need our Shepherd, Lord Jesus to guide us.

Above all these,one thing i am very touch & thankful about,my faithful helpers CK & Li Zhi, been helping me run the errands,coordinate the team...and making intercession. After most of the time in work,they have been praying for me!!=)

I really apppreciate and felt very encouraged, i would want to go all way out for this team, also thankful to great leader like Wan Yun,always being so understanding.

Now praying & fasting for a miracle,that everyone in the team will experience breakthrough in their individual life.

Today comes to a period of time to visualise again where God wants to lead me to... Zhen recently raise this idea of going for a mission this sep...sounds good to me. After the last mission in KL Emerge,and awesome meeting with Pastor Kong,i have this tug to go along the idea of another this upcoming mission!:D
Another opportunity to use our gifts & talents to serve the people around,wouldn't it be more awesome if i can ever use my nursing skills to give vaccination, do dressing for the wounded pple, administering medications to the sick. Yeah I thought of idea that i can lead a group of my fellow nurses to the third world country, hopefully with the help of CHCSA team too.
But now i need to guai guai to serve the hospital first more equipped in my skills before i can get geared up.So fast, I am almost reaching one year of my bond this Sep as well. I believe greater works are yet to be done because He has shown me this verse,"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."(1COR 2:9)
Thank God the nurses around has always been so helpful,always so willing to guide me, though sometime things may get mundane with challenges arsing, but I feel there's a constant stir to do what He had first called me to do."Therefore we also,since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,let us lay aside ever weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."(Heb12:1)

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus!(Phil3:14)

In the midst of the challenges, I am not afraid,because I know I shall arise stronger. That are many commitments in life shouting for your attention, but the main thing is to learn to prioritise..something which I am still learning.

Sometime sacrifices has to be made, I believe we need to undergo the fire of shaping & moulding, that we may be adorned as a beautiful bride waiting for the return of our Lamb...His name is Lord Jesus.(Rev21:9)

Healing patches

No no I am not hallucinating, i have this aim in life is to benefit mankind, i make an awesome discovery to release the pain of the terminally ill patients(not totally 100%). I didn't really invent it but I learnt in the midst of working.
This patch seems amazing....it somehow helps to have a comfort care for those having palliative care. It somehow sets me thinking if i can use this patch to heal the wound of the brokenhearted, i would really love to do that;)

I have got a dream,a song to sing............2005 April 10th,i stepped into the compound of JW St 91 CHC,invited by dearest bro Jackson, coming before God with nothing to lose but everything to gain...I came to receive Jesus Christ as the Lord & Saviour,the rest is history...

From hopelessness to be a person filled with hope & vision,I dreamt of becoming a nurse...to impact the community!! Someone that can make a difference in the life of others,cos i feel tt every lives matter. Of course from a student nurse to start out as a professional hasn't been a easy one..but i am thankful to my church friends,from Poly, Cg to ministries,there won't be enough space if i were to list down the names of the people who r always there for me!! In the area of nursing,i feel there's always a standard of discipline that all nurses have to follow, which i find it a challenge!Scoldings is indeed one of the most common thing that I have to face...at times I feel like escaping, running away & i do get physically tired.

However in the Bible it always encourages me,that He who's in me is greater than he who's in the world.His grace is more than sufficient.I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me!Full of passion,i am praying that one day i can build a Hospital,or an old age home, this is to meet the needs of the people, who's sick and getting old.

Haha I am still very glad that no one that I have shared my dreams with ever look down on it, though i feel it might be a very difficult task to accomplish.Yeah but again,there's assurance from a still small voice that all things work together for the good to those who love Him! In fact quite please that a few good friends would still be willing to collaborate with me if One day I am really going to establish the dream Hospital..haha! It might take 8yrs,10yrs or 20yrs?Let it be done according to His will=)

Oh ya in the midst of being a professional,hard at work,I am still a person that love God,serve a lot, dream a lot..haha.Recently met up with 'Ou xiang', Elim Chew,boss of 77th street!She's indeed an inspiration to the Youths,just love her man! Woohoo! She just told me that our Church is a very good grounding place for the people,whereby teaching are very in depth & personal. I really go to reflect on it & i feel is very true that no place can compare to my beloved City Harvest Church(sorry if i am a bit bias)! But for those who have yet to experience a place of personal relationship with God & true friendship to be built with people..can try attend some of our services on Sat & Sun,either Expo or Jurong West,do let me know if any of you are interested. And I holding on to my dreams, i do really wish that i can be as successful as Elim Chew someday=)

Are you Depress? This is an Emotions that not just a lot woman faces through,it applies even to male & female, youngest to the oldest.
In fact statistic has shown that there's an increase rate of depression.For example in the recent Newspaper there's an article on S'pore being the least affected in the recession period, yet the most pessimistic! As I was sharing with some people of this amazing talk held in my hospital, held by this very well known psychiatric Dr Ang.

He uses examples of an increasing in youth suicide, such as the recent case of NTU student suicide.It was after much investigation, it was found out because of this virtual reality he was in that causes severe depression.Yes supposingly a very outstanding student, on a scholarship which allows him for a further studies in NTU. However because his computer games addiction, hence his result began to deteriorate. Thus ignoring the few warning letters, regarding the cancellation of his scholarship, this NTU student continue to be heavily addicted to his computer games(virtual reality)! Finally upon getting the last letter of cancellation of the scholarship, he tried to consult his professor but to no avail. Then resorting to violence, he attacked his professor follow by taking his own life!

Another story of an A star student, went to jump off from a HDB flat after his gf left him for his best friend...some of us might think how silly is that,i don't deny i feel this way too! Why seek a permanent solution for a temporary problem!

Also a case of an smrt engineer,whom has recently be transferred out of his department to the other, thereafter he was not used to the transition,therefore he requested for a transfer back to the old department.But unfortunately his request was rejected. A man facing the responsibilities in the household,and acute stress in the workplace,he was hence confirmed by the psychiatrist that he was down with depression.Story don't just stop here... Having hope that the medical certificate of depression will bring him back to the old department,he requested a 2nd time. However instead of a permission granted,with understanding, it was felt that this engineer is no longer fit to work in the company.He's one of this person that committed suicide at one of the MRT track.so sad right.. The thing is we must always be tactful in our word, Never say NO to a person with a sign of depression, let me make it clear depress person ar.

In conclusion, these people are simply D-pressed(Depressed), psychiatric Dr Ang quoted that our Intelligence does not determine our Emotional well being!Yes although there's an advance in medical treatment such as Prozac, Anti-Depressant.There's this 4 Basis Human needs to look into:

Physical needs-The need for air,food & water
Intellectual needs- Humans have a need for a certain level of knowledge and understanding in terms of factual data and cognitive skill development
Emotional needs- I feel this is a subjective feelings,it varies in different people
Spiritual needs- For my point of view,we required a sense of connections,something bigger than ourselves.Why not join a community,like church!:)

And for me,I think prayers is a vital needs.Ever shared by Yi lun before too,that in Times magazine, a research has shown that the MRI brain of a person whom has prayed,there's a release of chemical substance which sooths your nerves.It also brings you to a clearer perspective! Pray towards your vision....Be a Vision pressed!!

Are you washing you hands??!!

Recently there's tis on going infection campaign held in my hospital.Above is an emphasis to show the importance of handwashing! Yeah most of the time,we do not know how much bacteria we are carrying on our hands,even as some of us may not be staying in a place where risks of infection are low.However, i feel people should come to another level of personal hygiene!!

Example like how we have been taught to wash our hands before & after meal in our primary school. It somehow cultivated me to develop such habits. Some that know me well will know my practice,of washing or swabbing my hands before every meal.Haha but i am not ashame of it,whenever it comes to personal hygiene,i am quite particular towards it,not just because i am a nurse & it become part of the habit, it's because i do not want to consume the food together with the germs!!!Yew!

Yeah,now in the work place i have got to proceed to 7 steps of handwashing, oh man never taught there's so much steps for a handwashing right? But i tell you, other than the strong chlorhexidine soap which makes the hand dry,is fun washing! You feel more confident of the cleanliness,you can prevent breakouts as often, prevent stomach upset,cos some of the time food poisoning is not just to do with the food itself,but our hands as well!!=)

How to solve a Chemistry problem??!!

I ever remembered when I was in secondary school,i love science,so proud to be an A student!Physics are fun with full of equations eg:E=MC2, but i prefer chemistry eg: 2H+O=H20.I especially enjoy myself in chemical experiment!I'd dreamt to be a scientist one day..haha!Nevertheless i proceed to study nursing,other than clinical studies,i studied..Biology!! Bones, skull,hormones & a woman's menstral cycle.Whoa is deep,deep,deep,full of theory!
When it come to human chemistry,it somehow seem to be a different thing, not just a knowledge of physics,chemistry & bio can ever explain...haha.
Is just amazing how creative God is in creating us to be a person of emotions!But when it somehow comes into another phase of life..like dating.Pastor was like saying usually woman that doesn't date will somehow be emotionally shut down.Oh mine! I am asking myself,have I deprived myself of anything?
Hmm fellowship i enjoy and i am good at...but dating?From the time of student, been studying hard.In church, faithfully serving the Lord,wanting to rise up and now been working hard in workplace.When it comes to dating,how do i go about it without this thing call chemistry? Let's say it also comes with the composition of FAITH,HOPE & LOVE!!
First of all you need FAITH to go out with the person,and HOPE in that direction you are heading to..Greatest of all you need to LOVE(loving as a friend)!!
However do not forget to account to your leaders,whatever matters to you,matters to them.
And I do believe in all things to seek first the kingdom of God!

Of course i don't go around being a person searching for love the wrong place,the world may ask why not?Cos is impt tt my security naturally comes from God,meeting the needs of the hurtings is the calling He has given..
When human relationship seem complex?
God is my chemistry teacher,He taught me the art to build a good relationship regardless of race,language & religion with the sick & the needy.

After a hard day work in hospital, i feel like pausing a while,thank God tomorrow will be a rest day;) Don't ever think i have been missing in action,in fact i have a more important task to fulfill! I am going to save the world!Haha,i am just kidding:p I am not like Daddy Jesus,but trying to be more & more like him everyday! In fact i felt that there's a growth coming along,so many of a time we might lie back in our comfort zone, staying in house waiting for our family to spoon feed us. But it might be a good thing to start your career young,learning to be independent..

Things I have learnt:

1)I have learnt to be more respectful towards the senior more,sometime whether you like or dislike you still got to honor them!(anyway i still love them all the same;)

2)I have learnt to be more discerning towards the needs of the ppl,like my patients

3)I have learnt to be more dependent on God,simply by being more prayerful!

4)I have learnt to be sharper, i always got to tell myself i am handling lives! I can't afford to make any medications error

5)I have learnt of a more effective communication with the nurses & allied health around

6)Hmm i also learnt to be more organised,prioritising & allocating the workloads

7)Last but not least,I've learnt that life is fragile,I'll just want to love a little more & cherish the ppl arond a little more

Despite the packed scheldule,the little things like a simple message of encouragement from friends.The little things of a simple truth people tell you about yourself,to have a better self-improvement. The little things of my dearest uncle cooking up a plate of oats meal,when there's difficulty in eating with the braces on. The little things...many times we have taken it for granted...but now i have learnt to appreciate more;)

Oh what had become of Carrisa,that suddenly has this kinda heck care attitude?!! Haha,no worries! In fact I had this awesome revelation, it has been a tough week, work loads & commitment had been piling up.As work has been a great challenge,at the end of the day filled with so much thoughts,analysing the process what could have done for a greater improvement, and sorting out the mistakes. Although feeling a bit discourage, God showed me this verse (Phil4:8)Finally, brethen, whatever things are true, whatever things are nobel,whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.

Yeah from now on I am gonna be a 'Miss Whatever'!Of course not a whatever heck care attitude but meditate on Whatever things that are positive!!:) Although i may gone through a lot of ups & downs, I kept meditating this quote from Pst Phil:"Our journey into greater measures of the anointing always involves greater development of our character. As our character is built,this increase our ability to carry the touch of God.The anointing brings with it many pressures.Our emotional, moral,mental,relational and physical capacity must be strong!" In conclusion,the things that happen around us will eventually affect our thoughts, but we must always come to a point that God is working in the midst of our circumstances for a greater character moulding, and to use us in a mightier way!=)

Learning about being Patient

Today read an awesome article in e-mail,send from one of my patient.It goes:

BE PATIENT
This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck.. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital. Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bonesshed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, "Daddy, I'm sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going to grow back?" The father went home & committed suicide. Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge. People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

I remember when i was a younger christian,a lot of things i had been so unsure.Example BGR, i always think how come the people around me seem to take relationship casually-like getting attach and then break up so easily.Is love not real?
However I thank God i have great spiritual leader who always guides me.I asked her so is it ok to just get into a relationship so easily,since the people around me also got bf or gf? She taught me that though we are in this world but not of this world,and our body is a temple of God, so do not do anything that upset the Holy Spirit in us.
Of course true love still does exist, but just make sure that we do always stay accountable to our leaders,they know what is best for us.Also Joshua Harris once mentioned that our parents are also the best judgement for our partner in life!
Sometime our feelings and emotions may seem to overwhelm us when we liked a person, but i believe to walk in the spirit,God doesn't provide us a partner but he can direct and lead us. He has a purpose for the singles,for us to build up responsibility by serving Him. That we may also hold the responsibility to build a family,bring up our child. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths(prov3:6).
I felt is important to have someone that is able to lead in the relationship,loving,committed, caring and loving God wholeheartedly,someone whom i can relate to and praying together in all circumstances.

Some people viewed me as a strong,spiritual,joyful person.Yet there are times i felt helpless,weak, and depressed.If not for my leader Zhen that ever told us that we don't have to appear so strong on the outside,i could have bottled up all the feelings and hurts le.Sometime you know is ok to cry whenever we feel down?Yeah my kind of habit to just mumble and tell God whatever i feel unfair in lives,how i spoke to Him whenever I felt mistreated by the ward staffs:P

Sometime is true that the criticism of people can just make you so miserable, felt inadequate and unloved!But God always tell me:

Its New Year!!

This is the great year, that had began with counting down with great friends like Sharon, Jia Sheng, Wan Xiu and Xin Yi!Went to a pub call Fashion at Clark Quay,quite a good place to relax ourselves there while waiting on for the countdown.After that,we gave a Birthday suprise to Wan Xiu with a mini cake!Whoohoo..when everything had ended,we sat at the stairs overlooking the S'pore river.Then we all go one round asking of our vision and dreams, a good way to share our goals in lives too,its been so long since I ve this kind of heart to heart chat le..haha.
Next day, also spent some time with great buddies,haven't seen them for quite awhile,miss them loads and loads man.Met up with Mark,Clarence,Eugene toh, Clarence and Trudy to catch Bedtime Stories the movie,its so hilarious...one line I could remember what Adam Sandler told the kids...I'll be with you as the stink is at your foot...Trudy & I kept giggling none stop=)
Val,Shi min,Ru feng came to join us for dinner at sushi teh in cinelesiure,Eugene's cg member Marcus included in the fellowship too.Finally long time no see Rickson tan, so hilarious as before,it was certainly a time of heart warming fellowship.After our dinner we walked a distance to eat the famous Dao Huay Zhui(Soya beancurd) over at dhoby ghaut area!Andy thanks for the intro...the Dao Huay is superb!Now kinda craving for more..hee.
However our journey to e place of Dao Huay is really a distance...cos been taking tons of pics whenever we spotted a place of attraction.muahaha.
Really thankful to God that I had got day off on the New Year, which enable me to spend quality time with my friends.Here I am to say though not most of the time i can spend time with you guys,i really appreciate every sharing & laughter.
Thank for always bringing out the best in each other.

There's a time of work, a time of rest and of course not forgetting a time for family!! 'Family' is a place that is safe,secure and love! Parent's love are unchanging towards their children, no matter how old they have grown, in their heart they are still their children;)

I am of course thankful to have wonderful family, whom have always been my pillar of support!:)Went out with my parents,uncle and brothers,to celebrate Matthew's Birthday!

I have always been so proud of my brother lo.Matthew my younger bro came in to church at the same timing with me.2005 4TH of April,i still rmbr.It was my elder bro Jackson that invited us,but i was the one that had been more open then,Matthew however came on and off.

Jackson and I however did not give up,consistently praying for the salvation for our precious bro, inviting him of any events that our cg have got.Sometimes thinking of the work stress in school,he doesn't seem to be keen in any of church activites. It is discouraging though.

But God is never too late...even though Matthew never manage his 'O' level result in secondary, he continues his studies in CHEC(City Harvest Education Centre).Times and times again, he produced excellent result.What a testimony!God's grace is indeed more than sufficient in the life of my brother!

Praise God!Now 3/4 of the family are Christians, though some of different denomination, with some Catholics. Whatever it is,God indeed is good to my family,still continue to pray for the salvation of more!;)

Met up with Shi Min yesterday,to do some X'mas shopping at Bugis street.Guess is really awesome!Sometime going out is almost going towards svc,cos anywhere,everwhere i went,there is always a chance of bumping into someone from my church!!=)
The first encounter was i met Keewei and his cg once alight from bus, almost saw my bro Jackson,but in the end he didn't turn up..haha. Then on the way of meeting Shi Min, saw some pple from choir!On the way up and down from escalator saw someone ever performed in A Shot to fame event,followed by some of the usher leaders.....and I can go on and on,on whom i ve seen from church.
There are varieties of thing that's up this X'mas,I somehow have to remind myself to be wise in my spending.A time of giving is good, if we can also be much wiser in our spending too!
After shopping,we met up with Mark for a time of fellowship at the Bak kut teh,expecting more actually but think most of the people have been busy with the other activities too.I think the Bak kut teh is really nice,i love the soup..yum yum:P
Thanks to have Shi min to go GOHS for make up BS,i attended on the speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues by bro Darren,the lesson is very interesting and he's been very humorous!At the end of BS we were break down into groups to practice the gifts of interpretation of tongues.Wow I think our group scored rather high mark, out of the scales of 10, it was ranged from 8-10,guess we have been pretty accurate with our interpretation!

On my way home,i was reminded of this verse,(Ps118:24)this is the day that the Lord had made and i shall rejoice and be glad in it!!My off day may happen to be on the wed day,but thank God for sending great friends with me,making it a fruitful and joyous day!=)

This is the one and ever chapter that had been preached and emphasised a lot of times during my BS in Fivefold ministry, with bro Jeremy.Today in cg, watched the video of how Neville Tan's life had been transformed.I find this verse a comfort in my life,when I am on my own,fill with doubts, lost of strength,But I am not alone!
Because of His promises-"Heaven and Earth will pass away but Your words shall remain."

Recently I went K-BOX TO celebrate my very good friend,Charmane's 21st birthday!Then some of us sang this song,momentarily in love with it!I love the lyrics,the tune and of course my fav singers,JJ lin and Charlene choi.

My God sometime really works in multi,different way,yet creative!!Haha.Its really God's purpose, for Your sake,i'll go!
Go all the way,as a church without wall to touch lives to the terminally ill patients!
Of course so sad I have to sacrifce my time to fellowship,even couldn't spend time to go my own cg,and serve much as usher as often.
But people I always believe as I seek first the Kingdom of God,all the desire of Your heart will be added onto you!
Even in my giving let it be a rising sweet aroma to Your throne,as I go into the market place,as I start to earn the first fruit belongs to You!
Lord mould me,refine me,build me to be a better leader.
Now the vision God had for me is to be a salt and light to the terminally ill people!
I also pray for Church,N282,School revival!Lord i need you,but the people outside need You even much more,i hope more people will come to know You..esp when it is towards e X'mas season!:)

Away with sicknesses!!

Today's the most traumatic experience ever,now i can understand how some of the patients ve felt for a certain procedures.Since yest I had been down with a bad flu,a teensy bit of dust'll seem to irritate my nose to ahhhhh....tiss......uuuue!!:0

So i was kinda rubbing my nose,and the next thing i found my nose bleeding profusely!I was pinching,holding my nose up to stop it from bleeding as i still ve got so many works on hand (The correct way is to pinch our nose holding downwards!).

Thank God,my nursing in charge allowed to go off from ward,they even help to book a transport for me to the main building to see Dr!Thus went A&E and was referred to ENT(Ear Nose and Throat).Aww..he started to sprayed something into my nose..and it continue to bleed profusely, then did a scope for me by inserting into my nose,this is to see where the source of bleeding comes from.Sob,sob to say it was not painful,i am lying.But praise the Lord the Dr announced is only a superficial bleeding.

Even as a nurse i had never underwent such procedure,deep inside I was so scared,in my mind I am crying out to God!Then inorder to close up the blood vessel,the doctor did a diathermy for me.I could feel abit of burning sensation,hoping that the procedure could end asap.No one was with me then in the ENT check up,it was done in a rush there were no time I could contact anyone I know.

But thank God,the Holy Spirit is with me,He told me fear not He's with me,Do not be afraid I am Your God!;)I am fortunate to have a God that I can rely on in times of a fearful and darkest period!:)

This is the vision of a hospital that I am working in.Wow,couldn't be more happy when 2 of the patient that I am nursing came to receive Christ!!Indeed like what the Bible say as one soul is saved,the whole heaven rejoice!!
This is the reason God had wanted me to touch lives.In fact a lot of people who are at the end of life didn't know there is such God that they can rely on.They suffered from depression,constanly having the mindset that their purpose is to await death...
How sad can this be,but is true,especially for those without social support,these people tend to sink into a state of hopelessness.
Sometime this people can be around us,they may appear so happy on the outside,yet the inside of them, they carry such fear..fear of dying and rejection.Some living in a state of denial,couldn't accept the diagnosis of their sickness and the deterioation of their health conditions.
However if we can know that some of these people can come to have life,and that they may have it more abundantly (john10:10).
Dear friends,our word,our action of love,care and concern(not just the nurses)can make a difference in their lives!It is all up to us now to take the courage to meet the needs,and heal their hurtings...
Is a decision and I am determine to..not by might nor by power,but by the Spirit of the living God(zech4:6)!

My almighty, Abba father of course!Greatest glory be to You!This whole entire week has been such a packed one...so packed...I couldn't breathe!Mind seem to be spinning even faster,i think i need to slow down to feel Your presence once more.
I was having my BCLS(CPR) practical and theory on the sat,I enjoy the whole course but when it comes to the one man CPR,the real test on the mannequin,its a great challenge!The mannequin has the machine to keep track,making sure there's a right amount of ventilation and compression.Whoa,is not easy cos I haven't been performing it well for the past sch days.Then I remembered the recent sermon about positive confession!So I was like telling myself,"I can pass,I can make it through!"
Now when it comes to the real practical,I saw some of the people,who doesn't make it through for the first attempt,been using so much strength and ventilation until the faces turn red,of course i was discouraged!
Then finally when it comes to my turn,my assessor was awesome and kept on encouraging, offering to count the timing for me,so I started,telling myself that I'll do well this time,once and for all!Finally the crucial part came when i was at my fourth cycle,I felt like giving up,which in total i need to complete five cycle.After giving the ventilation..I was clearly out of breath!
But wait greater things are still yet to be done..I suddenly have this vision,which i clearly felt is the encouragement of the Holy Spirit.What if this mannequin that I am saving is my loved ones? Or someone else's dearest?
How could I not save one more live?Hence,I was determined to persist on!A great sense of relief came after I completed the recusitation.As the list was printed out,there's a certain amt of ventilation which seemed inadequate,but thank God the sister passed me!Yipee...I couldn't be anymore happier:)
Then rushing off to svc to serve when the whole session ended,Although is tiring but the joy of the Lord is indeed my strength!(neh8:10)

Thanks a million for all my loved ones,cg,nyp cluster and friends coming to celebrate my Birthday,i've been fasting and praying for a good atmosphere!Nevertheless it have been better than expected! Thanks dear buddy Val & Evangeline in helping me to blog about it too:)

Presents that i had received are countless..red packets from relatives(counting e amt i need to tithe)....cool boots(wore it for svc today),Guess wallet(using it now),necklace and card(very nice wif my fav Hello Kitty,but prefer it better with messages!) from NYP cluster....Tiara(wanted one really badly to wear for my birthday),Anna Sui wallet(woo the design i like,almost bought it),bag(using on my way to svc),long panda necklace(wore it today too!) from cg...so much more!

Haha I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves,even those great friends who stayed overnight during the chalet,went to watch 'House bunny!'That movie's super hilarious.
Then snuggles up in bed to play 'Hello kitty' UNO!How kiddish is that going to be..but we do have a great game together,I think my beloved bro,Matthew had mastered the game very well by now!

Thanks for treating me like a Princess on that day,what had I done to deserve this kind of treatment?To be honest,i almost teared..hee.

12 going on to 21!

Haha,yipee!The day has finally came to an age of maturity!I have been so busy in work lately.Btw congrats to all those around me getting attached and married!Don't worry abt me,God will have His own plan for me!;)
Why I say 12?Hee cos ppl around just love to tease me looking young.You know why?
It's because those who walked in the presence of God always look young!Haha anyway I find it cute though!:p
In fact I feel my maturity is of 21yrs old!I am not perfect and I do make mistakes.But the Holy Spirit has enabled me to carry the responsibilites of a staff nurse to look after the patients, an usher to help to run the service,in the cg to bring up the atmosphere and an armorbearer for my leaders!
Yes,though is tiring in working and balancing everything in life,i find that as I seek him first in all things,He added to me favours from staffs and good communication with patients!Also finances increases by getting my pay!You may think is a natural thing, but God I feel is Your promises of blessing from what I have sown!
I am awaiting for my Birthday celebration,thanks for my familes,cg,nyp cluster and friends whom make the effort in coming down for my celebration.I really appreciate a lot!;)

Yeah 希望的种子 a song that really touches my heart and my soul.I remember myself having great dreams that seem unfulfilled until I met Him(Father God!).A person whom used to fill with insecurities and hurts, someone with lost of vision,coming into a relationship with Him is the best thing I'll never regret in my life.
This walk hasn't been an easy one,with bucket of tears and sacrifices,even at the point of giving up everything,He spoke;"Do you love me?" I answered,"Yes I do!" Again He asked:"Do you love me?"I answered:"Yes I love You with all my heart and my soul!"
I was reverted to the time of Peter,Jesus had asked how much is his love for Him?
Not worthy of the death of Jesus,Peter died on the cross upside down.I used to cried at the part.
How much is the Love that I can give to You? How much? How much?
The answer is not much as compare to the depths of Your love!

Lord I give you all thanks in fulfilling my dreams as a nurse,using me to meet the practical needs of the people out there!Even though I run out of strength,You'd given me the joy to be my strength!Help me to continue to love all the patients and staffs fervently.

Celebrated mummy's birthday tgr with my family today,really thks to kor who helped to plan all the things ahead.....shared on the cost of the meal,bird nest as a gift.No matter how busy you are,I feel that is good to spend time with your love ones to create family bonding.
During the meal, one of my uncle was sharing that his church asked him to preach the gospel to the drug addicts,and was feeling a bit anxious towards it,we listened and encouraged him,anyway he seemed quite excited towards the idea.
Wow I think I feel really very proud of him,really thank God how he can use my family in a mighty way to influence the drug addicts..with God all things are possible!!
Hmm the food that we had in the restaurant "Por Kee eating house" around Tiong baru area was simply delicious!!
Thks Daddy afterward for at 50bucks blessing,Mommy bought 2clothes for me!Tot a birthday supposingly to bless,got blessing instead...hehe!

Must smile until you complete reading..haha.I feel that there are always alot of negative things around, from our thoughts to the News!Do you know that your smile do make a difference?
As an usher,I used to be taught to 'smile,'it is important because we are one of the first person the congregation(church people)'ll see.I also learnt one thing as I smile,no matter how tired, unhappy,whenever people smile back,you'll naturally feel happy in the inside,and you'll continue be motivated to smile!!
Yeah true that recently Pst Kong shared something regarding the attitude of certain usher.But I was really very impacted when one of my leader shared,is not about finding fault of who isit,but is the importance to inculcate to every ushers to put on a 'Smile!'
As the common saying "Your attitude,determine your altitude!"Service 1 may consist alot of youths,but as it is written<1tim4:12>Let no one despise your youth,but be an example to the believers in word,in conduct,in love,in spirit,in faith,in purity.
I feel that being their in charge,it is important I can teach them,influence them,is not just about serving,but serving out of love and passion,we served a joyous God,who's smiling at us right now!
Running together with pastor's vision,our svc,be it jw or expo,I believe even as each members put on the garment of praise,the svc will attract more people.It'll grow.

Mama Mia Wk!

Really thanks Chunshan for the free movie tickets to Mama Mia,organised by her workplace the Children's Society.Some of our cg went plus 3 other tics,which i asked along my nyp friends Xiao Feng with her 2roommates, hoping it'll be a good opportunity to reach out to them.Unfortunately in the midst of my BS,Xiao feng messaged, saying 1 of her friend sprained her leg and hence they were not able to attend.
Thank God after BS,manage to ask along Lynn and Israel to join us for the movie or else we would have to compensate for the tickets for those who were not present.

The movie was really kinda crappy,I would rate 5 out of 10 for it ba..haha.Is mainly a musical play,songs by ABBA!Wow which I haven't been singing since I was in secondary school.For those who are interested in musical can go watch;)

KL Emerge,my feel,my thoughts,my revelation!~Day 3and 4

Yep for day 3 and 4,haven't really taken the time to update.But I got to say is been a life transforming one.

On day3 Pst Kelvin was having this interview with Feng Bo Bo,one of the famous Hong Kong Movie star,they were speaking in Cantonese,I couldn't really grasp hold of the conversation.
But I learnt how much she had went through in the life of an actress,went into a period of depression and how Christ had brought her through.
Another interview by Pst Kong with Sun's manager,can't rmbr her name,shared how Sun's album had brought her out from depression into prosperity.Wow awesome!It somehow reminded me how Sun's music had touched me before I was saved.
I remembered during my sec sch days,we were out along Orchard approaching people to do some survey, inorder to fulfill our CIP(Community Involvement Programme)hours, in the midst of tiredness,the LCD screen of the Shaw Tower played Sun's music 'Wo men de dong tian', unexpectantly hairs were standing on ends,a sense of peace came into me,neither do I know few months down the road I'll receive Him into my life.
Yupp that's how Sun music had impacted me,and how it shall continue to touch the hearts of the people who had been hurting out there.
The last svc had been a poweful one,the artists had been asked to pray for the people out there, Pst Kong prophesied for Pst Zhuang,indeed a fresh hope and a fresh vision had been placed in our hearts.<Acts1:8>But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
This is also the purpose that we had been sent forth to missions.

Day 4,the day we ve to leave KL,breakfast as usual was yummy,Yi Lun sat tgr with us,it was really been a great pleasure to fellowship with her ever since the individual Victorious Living Bible study I had with her,she's my dearest zs(zone supervisior) and friend who has impacted my life in Christ,yeah really love her a lot.She's one that had been putting a lot of effort to make the KL Emerge a successful one.Friends out there can keep her in prayers for protection in her health and the baby gal tt she's carrying.

Great thanks to N282 whom had kept me in prayers during my mission trip.
All the mission team members,whom had been helping along with one another.
Thanks to Eugene,Valerie,Clara,Wei wen,Wei pin,Edward for always being there too!!HEE;)

KL Emerge,my feel,my thoughts~Day 2

The 2nd day of Emerge,I got to subject my flesh into discipline..haha I was half awake when i went to the bathroom,but got to wake up early,hopefully getting ready before breakfast.Our breakfast had been quite a sumptous one.I enjoyed the pancakes,sausages and porridge!

Praise God that I manage to attend the svc by Pst Kong,let me share a bit regarding creativity-Creativity is the ability to use the imagination to develop new and original solutions,ideas or thoughts, doing it with Asthetic flaw.Can feel free to ask from me if you are interested in the sermon.

Finally,at the end of the morning svc,we got the opportunity to shop.I was kinda lost for choices, too many varieties le,only manage to buy some stuff to bless others!Then the few of us(Eugene, Val,Clara,Wei wen,Wei pin)settle ourself at this cosy Ajisen restaurant.Indulging ourselves in fellowship,taking a few of interesting pics...find it super funny and what a lot of creativity they ve got..can go to see in the KL Emerge album in my facebook..haha

After being recharged, we cont to serve in our various ministry,this time was serving in lobby,when the svc started with not much of the duty on hand, went to play with the children in children church,they are very adorable!Next help out in Attributes to serve the customers, its really enjoyable to do the packaging,a free copy of Emerge DVD with every purchase!

At the end of the svc,we need to follow one of the KL Usher,Tai Loong aka loanshark,cos in hokkien it sounds like 'Tai E Long'..haha.Our role was to consolidate all of God's offering,it had indeed been a good experience so is to associate with other ushers.

Upon completing our duty,I was quite overwhelmed by tiredness,think so are the other team mbrs.After having a quick meal,we rested to prepare ourselves for the next svc duty...

KL Emerge,my feel,my thoughts~ Day 1

Wow it's been so fantabulous awesome in the KL Emerge,think was even better with few pals,such a joy to hang out with them;)Pple like Clara,Valerie,Eugene,Wei pin,Wei wen,and ya not forgetting Edward..haha.

First day of our arrival,we book in to our Hotel..brrrr the room was like super cold!I have this urge to just cuddle up in one of the bed after a long 6hrs journey..but cannot,got to discipline my flesh..need to go serve.Then we were lead into this wilderness...Sunway Pyramid Shopping centre I mean..so big!So I need to remind myself,serve first before I go shopping.Finally we arrived at the top storey of the shopping centre where the Convention centre was.And we were allocated to where our ministry were.

In usher ministry,i was allocated at the Lobby to welcome the pple,sobbed,can't attend svc,but nvm is a greater joy to be greeters,it reminded me of my first role when I first started serving back in S'pore than!Is really an honor,especially when I saw Pst Kong,shook hand with him, chat with him a bit,would has taken this opportunity to take an individual photo with him but he needs to rush off to the guest room.

When the svc started,i went to shop around Attributes,seeing how's the pple getting along,was somehow captivated of the things I want to buy,that Eugene need to remind me constantly to buy later..haha,while planning ahead for the things i want to buy for cg and myself.Because as compare to the price in S'pore,is so much cheaper!

When svc ended, all of us settled ourself in KFC,chatted and played a bit of games back in our hotel room.

After graduation,now what?!!

Yupp,is not jus my holiday,I have already graduated and ended my attachment since 1st Aug 08.My current plan is to wait for 2-3months before i go out to work.Btw it'll be a 2years bond that i'll be completing,which i kinda dread and yet i need to pray earnestly for favours.Reason that I dread is that i'll miss svc and cg..sigh,therefore i need to pray like never before for favours upon staffs, good scheldule, and a greater strength!!
A revelation that came upon me to fulfill the cultural mandate For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
So I believe there must be a purpose in wherever I am placed in, be it school, work, ministry, church, family and friends.
Therefore I am really determine in where God has placed me,even as a nurse in hospital, I'll shine in the area!I hope I'll display a Spirit of excellence and a Good attitude inorder to win people over to Christ.
Last but not least,I think I need an increase passion if I am to go into nursing,to love,care and be committed,cos things may just cause me to be so weary and emotional at times.Like what is written in the Bible:"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, but those who wait on the Lord,shall renew their strength;they shall mount up like wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary,they shall walk and not faint!"
Greater passion in medical area,cause I have a secret desire,to further my studies and strive toward being a doctor!
Haha you think is possible?
But before that let me not think so far yet,let me just build up my foudation well first.

My learning experiences....

Yoyo a lot of people had asked me why want to be a nurse, what a nurse do...and so on.
Haha during my attachment I've learnt about transfer-in to the ward,such as from main building, discharge planning,Dr's rounds to follow,speech therapist,physiotherapist,occupational therapist,dietician,also known as PT,OT,ST and DT to inform them regarding any follow up.Interesting right?
I have learnt so much more in the hospital that requires endless blogging.Apart from this I still need to be able to answer my lecturer questions,which they'll somehow randomly pick one of the case study that I am handling and shot me afew questions. Most of the time they'll asked me when I am feeling most tired..causing stress level to increase,however i feel this can be a good way to stretch my capacity.
Also got to move fast with the pace of the ward,I am always encouraged to move faster,such as serving medications,I have been taught of good time management and organisation.
Last but not least I feel it is quite a challenge when it comes to passing report, which means to hand over the cases of the patients to the next shift.I felt kinda challenged during the first few wks,but now I have learnt to pass in the important details such as change of next IV,hypocount monitoring and pre-meals to be given,etc..also the things that need follow up on.
Of course learning is a continuous process..so many things I got to take note.

Such a hectic n busy lifestyle,despite all this I feel that like what Pst Derek had preached, is important that everything we do must have a balance!!
And my cgl Zhenn recently shared with me regarding work's life,in everything we do God has it own purpose,all things work together for the good to those who love Him!!So if we find ourselves not in His will,of course He'll by all means bring us out of it.
God is good all the time!!

Busyness, busyness all is...

Hmm BUSY(Being Under Satan's Yoke!)..Sorry guys I need to revive my blog..I don't blog often, but I hope that my blog can be a source of encouragement for the people out there.Kinda simple, but its all my heartfelt message...
My attachment at CDC 2(Communicable disease centre) hasn't been a easy one..that has helped me to me more dependent on Him, when anything happen I'll just say a short prayers..and indeed He has been my comforter, encourager and refuge.
I have been so tired, depressed and affected by certain matters, or at a period felt I was not good enough,overwhelmed by fear and emotions.
He spoke to me...fear not I am with you,do not be afraid I am your God.
Thank God that I still can attend svc and cg,into the presence of God...His warmth embraced me,love of my friends and members covers me.It set me thinking...maybe everything hasn't been too bad!
Cos what I gone thru, is just a shadow of image! The good thing is I believed that I am moulded spiritually and physically(to be more skillful).What I hope is that I am able to share my experiences with others, my nursing skill to help others,which is the 1st and foremost reason for joining nursing..haha bet some of you dunno ba.
I left one more wk in my attachment ward le,I hope you guys out there can keep me in prayers for favors from staffs,sisters and preceptors for good evaluation.

My Nursing attachment at TTSH!

The past 3 weeks i seem to be missing in action!!Where have I been? Ye been busy with attachment at Tan Tock Seng,Gerontology ward.Wow I think I really have grown another step of maturity as i came to be taking care of the patients.Taking case study inorder to have a feel how prcp(3mths attachment) would be like.It has really been a time of moulding and training, and yet His Spirit has always been there guiding me, blessing me with opportunity to learn!
There's a period of time whereby I felt so discouraged, especially i have done one of the nursing assessment badly.However God is good that he sent staff nurse Ash to run through with me the appropriate way to do the assessment.She's been so precise in her teaching and I got a revelation from her!She said:"In everything you do,do it correctly from the beginning then you'll continue to do it right!"Understand the meaning?My cgl Zhen have shared with us these before in her experience of leadership.This means as we have made a mistake from e beginning we will be discouraged,then how are we going to have the spirit to maintain a consistent standard?
Therefore I have learnt, and I am determined to persist for a Spirit of Excellence, being detailed in my patient's assessment,it may be a little thing, but my assessment determine how my patient are goin to be looked after, and in how they are going to get an appropriate treatment, and of course how they can have a quick recovery(destiny)?!!
Indeed God's good,instead of dwelling in condemnation of the mistakes i made, He taught me His ways..,building a nurse with foudation of greater strength, wisdom and love.
